Do
you suffer from time stress?
The
answer is yes if:
a)
You are overwhelmed with tasks and you feel it
is harder to enjoy life;
b) You
are forgetful; or you lose sleep worrying about how you are going
to get everything done.
For
many of us, the frantic pace we set is self-inflicted. Take a moment,
calm down and prioritize.
We
can all benefit from being more aware of how we use our time, so
take a few "MINUTES" to examine some tips to help ease your time
pressure.
MANAGE
YOUR LEISURE:
If
you do not, someone else might! List your chosen leisure - time,
interests and activities and plan when you will pursue them. It
will give you something to look forward to in the thick of the stress!
.
Identify
your big-picture priorities. Know and realize what is really important
to you.
Number
tasks in order of importance.
Organized to-do lists of tasks that require action that are essential
on busy days!
Unplug,
inscribe, log off.
In
other words, take information breaks. Once you leave the office,
think about your own alone time, minus the phone calls, computer,
etc., in other words. . . "log off and relax!
Toss
the unnecessary stuff. The more things you have, the
more time it takes to deal with them. Save what's necessary, discard
what's not.
Evaluate
your progress.
About a month after you begin these exercises, review whether or
not you are feeling stressed, more efficient and closer to accomplishing
what you really want in your life.
Simplify
each day. It is hard to say no to all of life's possibilities
. . . but in the end, it is not how much we do, but how well we
do what we do.
Simplify!
Simplify! Simplify whenever possible.
